Ford is stepping into the world of bicycles. Ford announced that it will collaborate with bicycle company N plus to produce two new electric bikes inspired by its iconic Bronco and Mustang models.
Ford is not the first company to shift from the automotive industry to the world of bicycles. Brands like GM, Porsche, Jeep and Polestar have made similar ventures before. However, Ford claims to create unique bicycles due to their direct connection with its two most recognized models.
Bronco Electric Bicycle: All-Terrain Beast
The Bronco-themed electric bicycle is designed for use on rugged terrains with its robust construction. The bicycle, equipped with a motor that produces 750 watts of power and 85 Nm of torque, will feature Ford’s “GOAT” (Goes Over Any Terrain) dual suspension system.
Class 3 Bronco e-bike will reach speeds of up to 45 km per hour, but will not have a throttle. Its battery will offer a range of up to 96.5 km depending on conditions, and the full charge time will be 3.5 hours.
Mustang Electric Bicycle: Sporty Inner-City Option
The Mustang-themed electric bicycle will be offered for sale in two different configurations, standard and a limited production 60th Anniversary Special Edition. Ford states that these bicycles “will resemble the iconic sports car.”
Bronco e-bike will be equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Enduro M hard tires, while the Mustang e-bike will be equipped with Pirelli Angel GT semi-tires. Both bikes will feature four-piston hydraulic brakes and LCD screens.

Bronco e-bike’s starting price will be $4,500 and an additional $350 will be charged for color options other than the standard Area 51 color. Mustang e-bike will be offered for sale starting from $4,000 and a similar price difference will be applied for colors other than the basic carbonized metallic grey.
Both models are open for pre-order on the company’s website and deliveries are planned to begin later this year.
With these new electric bicycles, Ford aims to transfer its experience in the automotive industry to the world of bicycles, offering environmentally friendly transportation alternatives.
