Apple’s new artificial intelligence feature Apple Intelligence might be delayed, but the company’s iPhone 16 models will be launched on the planned date, according to a report. According to famed technology reporter Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the delay of Apple Intelligence to the iOS 18.1 version will not affect the release date of the iPhone 16.
Gurman reminded that Apple had postponed some iPhone launches in the past to complete some software features. For example, the launch of the iPhone 4S was delayed to October due to Siri and iCloud features not being ready. However, there won’t be such a delay for the iPhone 16.
The report mentioned that some features of Apple Intelligence are available in the beta version, but it will not be fully functional until October. Features like Writing Tools and Memory Creation in Photos are currently included in the beta version. However, advanced Siri upgrades, ChatGPT integration, Genmoji, and Image Playground features are not yet included in the beta version.
Release Date of iPhone 16
According to Gurman’s report, the iPhone 16 is expected to be launched on September 10, 2024. All features of Apple Intelligence will be available in October with the iOS 18.1 update. It was noted that Apple will maintain the regular launch schedule for iPhone 16 and Apple Intelligence will continue to be developed gradually with the upcoming iOS updates.
