New claims have been made that the much-anticipated Half-Life 3 is in development. A well-known Valve data miner claimed to have found evidence that the company is working on a new game in this legendary series here.
A few days ago, Eurogamer reported that voice actor Natasha Chandel had worked on a Valve game code-named “Project White Sands,” according to her online resume. This information was later removed from the resume.
Valve data miner Tyler McVicker alleged in a video on his YouTube channel that “Project White Sands” is actually a new single-player Half-Life game. McVicker pointed out that the code name “HLX” was revealed in the codes of other Valve games in 2021, and this signposts a non-VR, full-fledged Half-Life game.
Is Half-Life 3 Coming?
McVicker cautiously expressed his belief that this project is Half-Life 3. However, it’s still unclear whether Valve will actually publish this game.
Half-Life fans have been waiting for over 16 years for the open-ended finale of Half-Life 2: Episode 2, released in 2007, to be resolved. In 2020, Valve released the virtual reality game Half-Life: Alyx.
