WhatsApp is preparing to replace the green badge it uses for verified accounts with a blue verification mark. This change is seen as part of Meta’s efforts to achieve compatibility with other social media platforms.

WhatsApp will replace the current green badge for verified businesses and channels with a blue verification mark. This update will be compatible with Meta’s verification system on other platforms like Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Facebook. This new feature is currently being tested in beta for iOS users.

Meta aims to standardize the visual appearance of verified accounts across all platforms. The blue verification mark is intended to protect users from potential fake accounts and to facilitate secure interactions with verified businesses. A consistent visual identity will make it easier for users to recognize real accounts.

WhatsApp’s move is considered part of Meta’s strategy to make its digital platforms more integrated and user-friendly. With this change, users will see a verification system in WhatsApp that is similar to other social media platforms.
