YouTube has announced a new artificial intelligence-powered feature aimed at content creators. This new tool, supported by Google’s artificial intelligence chatbot called Gemini, aims to help content creators develop video ideas.
According to the announcement made on Tuesday, the Gemini AI tool will offer the following features:
- Brainstorming video ideas
- Suggesting thumbnail ideas
- Generating video titles
- Suggesting video outlines
This feature, which is currently in beta stage, will be available only to select content creators for now. This new feature, introduced in a video published on YouTube’s Creator Insider channel, is being offered as part of the platform’s studio integration with Gemini.
This new tool, which was developed in addition to YouTube’s existing experimental artificial intelligence tool called “Ideas and Outlines,” aims to provide content creators with a broader range of assistance. The current tool has features such as creating outlines based on text prompts and showing similar content.
According to TechCrunch’s report, when content creators enter a video idea into the search bar in YouTube Studio, they will see both Gemini and the company’s internal artificial intelligence tool options. This way, YouTube will be able to evaluate which feature is preferred more.

In addition, the company announced that this feature will now be available in India as well. While the feature was demonstrated in Hindi, support for other regional languages has not been clarified yet.
This new feature stands out as one of the innovative steps following YouTube’s custom radio station feature in YouTube Music which was started for testing last month.
